I found this chap up an alleyway in Canterbury, to me it looked as though he should be playing a flute and someone has stolen it!

A simple idea this one, my shiny new Kindle came in handy here to show off how technology has affected how we read books. The hardest part really for this shot was piling all the books up on the table without toppling them over (and before you ask, the Jilly Cooper one belongs to Mrs G!). Lit fairly simply with a softbox to the left and a reflector on the right.
A lovely weekend away in Stratford upon Avon provided me with a great opportunity for this week’s theme, namely my niece’s horse riding lesson. Although conducted at a fairly pedestrian pace (she’s only 7 after all!) the instructor changed the direction that they were jumping (which was closer really to stepping over without breaking stride) to help me with my shot. Fortunately he raised the bar at the end for some proper little jumps and so a slow shutter speed enabled me to capture the photo that I had envisaged. A lovely morning in the Midlands!
