On Sunday I visited Howletts Zoo with some of my photography chums from POTN. Having enjoyed a lovely sunny week a number of us were little prepared for the cold and overcast conditions that presented themselves that morning, shivering does little for trying to get a steady shot!
Worse though was that the animals themselves were less than keen to rouse themselves from the warmth and comfort of their houses so some of our favourites remained unseen – the Walking with Lemurs area yielded not a single sighting of a lemur…even though we visited their enclosure 5 times!
But for all the sleeping animals, there were still plenty of others out and about to see and with the Passport ticket I am able to return as many times as I like over the next year at no extra cost, a great deal and one that I’ll certainly be taking up…get ready for more Howletts blog posts in the months to come!
